New "e-Active Shift Control" Contributes to Sporty Driving
The third-generation XV, introduced in April 2017, unveils its new exterior.
This major update introduces new designs for the front face and alloy wheels. The addition of "Plasma Yellow Pearl" to the body color palette enhances both its stylishness and the robust presence expected of an SUV.
Inside, select grades feature revised color coordination and seat upholstery, aiming for a more premium and advanced impression.
In terms of driving performance, the suspension has been improved across all grades. Furthermore, for models equipped with the "e-BOXER" powertrain, which combines a horizontally opposed engine with electric technology, Subaru has newly adopted "e-Active Shift Control." This adaptive shift control works in conjunction with the "SI-DRIVE" drive assist system, promising a sportier and more enjoyable driving experience.

For safety, a "Front View Monitor" has been added as an option to assist the driver's visibility at blind intersections and during parking and starting maneuvers.
The powertrain options include two types: a model with a 1.6-liter horizontally opposed 4-cylinder engine, and a model combining a 2.0-liter horizontally opposed 4-cylinder engine with a motor (e-BOXER).
Prices range from 2.2 million to 2.981 million yen.
