Front-wheel drive via 7-speed S tronic with revised gear ratios for TDI characteristics
A 2-liter diesel turbo model has been added to the "Q2," a compact SUV that arrived in Japan in 2017, characterized by its distinctive exterior design featuring extensive use of polygons.
Previously, the "Q2" lineup included the 1-liter inline 3-cylinder gasoline turbo "30TFSI," the 1.4-liter inline 4-cylinder gasoline turbo "35 TFSI," and the 2-liter inline 4-cylinder gasoline turbo "SQ2."
The "35 TDI Sport," the first diesel model, is powered by a 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder diesel turbo engine producing a maximum output of 150ps (3500-4000rpm) and a maximum torque of 340Nm (1750-3000rpm). It drives the front wheels through a 7-speed S tronic transmission with overall lower gear ratios optimized for TDI characteristics.
The grade is exclusively the "35TDI Sport," which comes with popular equipment as standard. This includes the Navigation Package with MMI Navigation system and smartphone interface, comfort features like the Virtual Cockpit, and safety equipment such as the Assistance Package.
The price is 4.89 million yen.
