A Deeper Driving Experience: The Updated Lexus UX is Here
Lexus has announced the minor change model of its compact SUV, the UX. The hybrid model "UX250h" and the gasoline model "UX200" will each be available in two special editions: "F SPORT Emotional Explorer" and "Graceful Explorer." Sales have commenced.

Body Rigidity Enhanced, Preventive Safety Features Expanded
The "UX," a compact crossover added to Lexus's lineup in 2018, has been refined. The UX has sold approximately 250,000 units cumulatively in over 80 countries and regions, and with the expansion of hybrid and BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) models, it is one of the models driving Lexus's electrification efforts.
Lexus explains that, under the philosophy of "Always On," which pursues continuous evolution, they have made improvements such as deepening the refined, clear, and profound driving experience, expanding the functionality of preventive safety technologies, and adopting the latest multimedia system.
To deepen the driving experience, body rigidity was enhanced by adding 20 spot welding points, and the tuning of the ESP and absorbers was also carried out. The vehicle was driven extensively at the "Toyota Technical Center Shimoyama," a test course where roads from around the world are replicated, further improving refinement, directness, and responsiveness.
In terms of advanced equipment, the "Lexus Safety System+" preventive safety technology has been enhanced. Furthermore, a larger, high-resolution touch display has been adopted, along with the latest multimedia system.
The powertrain lineup includes the hybrid model "UX250h" with a 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine, and the "UX200" also with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine.
Pricing for the gasoline engine "UX200" (all FF models) ranges from 4,003,000 to 4,836,000 yen. For the hybrid "UX250h," both FF and 4WD are available; FF models range from 4,359,000 to 5,192,000 yen, and 4WD models range from 4,624,000 to 5,457,000 yen.
