Nine Electrified Models to Launch in China by 2025

At the "2021 Shanghai Auto Show," which opened on April 19, Nissan announced it would equip six models with its latest e-POWER system by 2025, starting with China's best-selling sedan, the Sylphy.
e-POWER is Nissan's unique system that achieves responsive acceleration and quietness comparable to an electric vehicle (EV) by driving 100% with an electric motor. The onboard gasoline engine generates electricity, eliminating the need for external charging. This system contributes to Nissan's global goal of achieving carbon neutrality across its business activities and product lifecycles by 2050.
The new X-Trail, one of the best-selling SUVs in the Chinese market, is scheduled for launch in the second half of 2021. Nissan states that the model features a novel design, advanced intelligent driving and connectivity technologies, and offers new appeal.
Furthermore, Nissan plans to introduce nine electrified models in the Chinese market by 2025, with the new crossover EV, the Nissan Ariya, set to be a core model among them.
Additionally, Nissan highlighted its involvement in Formula E, the all-electric street racing championship, to which the company has committed long-term participation through the 2025-2026 season. Nissan intends to leverage the technology and expertise gained from motorsport in the development of its production EVs.
