Nissan Motor Corporation has jointly planned and commercialized a travel product called "'E'Vacation" utilizing electric vehicles (EVs) with Kinki Nippon Tourist Tokyo Metropolitan Area. Kinki Nippon Tourist has begun selling the product.

In the "with-corona" era, as travel styles by car that avoid crowds gain support, "'E'Vacation," a travel package utilizing Nissan's car sharing service "NISSAN e-Share Mobi," has appeared as a new form of travel during the pandemic.

This package is not only a "with-corona travel plan" that meets diverse customer needs, but it also aligns with Nissan's "Blue Switch" initiative, which aims to realize a zero-emission society by utilizing EVs with zero CO2 emissions.

With "'E'Vacation," you depart in an EV "Leaf" from one of the 33 NISSAN e-Share Mobi stations located throughout Kanagawa Prefecture. For accommodations, in line with recent travel needs for enjoying nearby destinations, three inns and hotels have been prepared that have implemented infection prevention measures and offer EV charging facilities: Ryuguden (Tako-gawa Onsen on the shores of Lake Ashi) and Hakone Kogen Hotel (shores of Lake Ashi) in Kanagawa Prefecture, and Nihondaira Hotel (Nihondaira, Shizuoka City) in Shizuoka Prefecture.

Nissan claims that because charging is possible during your hotel stay, you can make effective use of your time at your destination and, due to zero CO2 emissions, realize a trip that is considerate of the environment of the tourist destination.

Applications are accepted online only. The price, which includes one night's accommodation with two meals (breakfast and dinner) and the use of a Leaf, starts at ¥14,800 per person for two people sharing a room, up to ¥60,800.
