EV Model to Begin Lease Sales Within the Fiscal Year
The MX-30 was globally unveiled at the 46th Tokyo Motor Show in 2019 as Mazda's first mass-produced EV model.
The newly added mild hybrid model, as part of the multi-solution strategy to apply optimal powertrains for each region based on the long-term vision for technology development "Sustainable "Zoom-Zoom" 2030," combines the direct-injection gasoline engine "SKYACTIV-G 2.0" with Mazda's unique mild hybrid system "M HYBRID" to create "e-SKYACTIV G." This system achieves quiet and smooth starts, a refined driving feel, and excellent fuel efficiency through motor assistance to the engine.
Additionally, the EV model is scheduled to begin lease sales within the current fiscal year.
The MX-30 was developed as a vehicle that proposes a new relationship between people and cars, characterized by its design, an open interior space, natural interior materials, and unique "freestyle doors" that allow users to create diverse ways of enjoying the vehicle with their own ideas.
