Next-Generation Brand Store "Audi House of Progress Tokyo" Opens
Audi Japan opened the next-generation brand store "Audi House of Progress Tokyo" in Minami-Aoyama on January 14, 2021 (Thursday), for a limited time until the end of May.
Experience Audi's History and Philosophy with Cutting-Edge Digital Technology and Touchless Interfaces
"Audi House of Progress Tokyo" is the first of Audi's globally rolled-out brand stores. It serves as a space to experience Audi's brand history, philosophy, and the passion behind its design in an entirely new way.
Inside the store, a combination of projection mapping and gesture control offers experiences such as reading a book as if in augmented reality, or pointing to words on a wall to have sensors detect their position and display messages from Audi about the future. These touchless interface attractions are numerous.
Furthermore, projection mapping is used to express design philosophy on three-dimensional car models, and other cutting-edge presentation methods welcome visitors.
The second-floor lounge offers drinks made with sustainable materials. Additionally, there's a content where participants can send a "message to their future selves" via a LINE message input screen, which is then displayed on the lounge's digital signage and sent to the sender one year later. Audi states that this provides participants with a meaningful time to "consider their own future."
The store also features concept cars that embody Audi's vision for the future. The "Q4 Sportback e-tron concept" was on display at the grand opening, and the "e-tron GT" is scheduled to be exhibited afterward.
The "Audi House of Progress Tokyo" also offers opportunities for test drives of the latest models. It is a unique venue to experience Audi's latest brand philosophy and design concepts.
