Jaguar Land Rover Japan has launched the 2021 model year of the Range Rover, Land Rover's high-end SUV, starting Friday, September 11, 2020. Orders for a limited 2021 edition grade also opened simultaneously.

Limited Edition "Fifty" Launched to Commemorate Range Rover's 50th Anniversary
The 2021 model year of the Range Rover, which was born in 1970 and celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, has been announced. The limited 2021 edition grades include the "Westminster" and the "SV Autobiography Dynamic Black." Additionally, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Range Rover's birth, the "Fifty" special edition, sold in a limited run of 1,970 units worldwide, will be available in Japan in a limited quantity of 38 units.
The "Westminster" comes with special equipment including the popular panoramic roof, Meridian surround sound audio system, Bright metal pedals, Suedecloth headlining, and illuminated treadplates.
A dynamic "Westminster Black" variant is also available, featuring the Black Pack for added accents.

The "SV Autobiography Dynamic Black," from Land Rover's Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division, which handles high-performance models and bespoke orders, features 22-inch wheels, unique treadplates, and exclusive exterior accents, creating a sophisticated finish unified in black.

The "Fifty" model, commemorating the Range Rover's 50th anniversary, features the "Fifty" script, handwritten by Chief Creative Officer Gerry McGovern, on both the exterior and interior. Furthermore, three heritage colors from the original Range Rover are offered, with 5 units of each color available in Japan, totaling 15 units.

The powertrain options include a 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine with a maximum output of 190 kW (258 PS) and 600 Nm of torque, two versions of a 5.0-liter V8 gasoline engine with maximum outputs of 386 kW (525 PS) or 415 kW (565 PS), and a plug-in hybrid model (PHEV) combining a 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder gasoline engine with an electric motor, totaling four configurations. The limited 2021 "SV Autobiography Dynamic Black" is exclusively available with the gasoline engine.
Pricing for the 2021 model year ranges from 14.93 million to 15.97 million yen for the diesel models, 15.50 million to 29.56 million yen for the PHEV models, and 17.02 million to 32.02 million yen for the gasoline models. The "Fifty" limited edition for Japan, available in five colors, is priced from 22,992,000 to 24,688,000 yen.
