Nissan Pavilion Opens for a Limited Time to Experience the Future of Mobility as Envisioned by Nissan
Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. has opened the "Nissan Pavilion," an entertainment facility where visitors can interactively experience the mobility society envisioned by Nissan, for a limited time from Saturday, August 1, 2020, to Friday, October 23, 2020, in the Minato Mirai 21 district of Yokohama.
A Unique Cafe Using EV Power is Also Attached
The "Nissan Pavilion" conveys the future mobility society depicted by Nissan's "Nissan Intelligent Mobility," which includes electrification and autonomous driving, through various experiential content.
With the keyword "Expanding Human Potential," Nissan's near-future lifestyle, depicted through technological innovation on approximately 10,000 square meters of land, has been realized through the perspectives and interpretations of creators active in entertainment, art, and media.
Inside the venue, there are numerous attractions for all ages, including displays and test rides of the new crossover EV "Aria," content utilizing the "Invisible to Visible" technology that visualizes the unseen, and virtual race experiences.
Furthermore, in entertainment experiences based on Nissan's technologies and initiatives such as the "ProPILOT" driving support system and "connectivity technology," visitors can see and feel the expansion of human senses enabled by cars and their technology, the connections between people created by mobility, and the vision of a more vibrant city.
In addition, the pavilion features the "Nissan Chaya Cafe," which offers original menu items focused on local production for local consumption, incorporating Nissan's energy ecosystem, "Nissan Energy." "Nissan Energy" is an innovative system where EV visitors park in the adjacent spaces, and the EV's power is supplied to the cafe, becoming the electricity used by the cafe.
In addition to free parking for EV visitors, a coffee coupon usable at the cafe is also provided.
Furthermore, the electricity used at the "Nissan Pavilion" is 100% derived from hydropower (Aqua Premium), achieving zero emissions with no CO2 output.
