New UX World Premieres, Launching in Japan Around Summer 2022
Lexus has globally unveiled new versions of its compact crossovers, the UX200 and 250h. A launch in Japan is anticipated around summer 2022.

Refined Driving Dynamics, Enhanced Safety and Multimedia Systems
The UX joined the Lexus lineup in 2018 and is now sold in over 80 countries and regions. It plays a key role in Lexus's electrification efforts, with electrified models (hybrid and battery EV) accounting for approximately 80% of its global sales.
According to Lexus, the newly announced UX200/250h embodies the company's "Always On" philosophy of continuous evolution. The updates focus on refining the driving experience for a more sophisticated and engaging feel, expanding advanced safety features, and incorporating the latest multimedia system.
To enhance driving dynamics, body rigidity has been improved by adding 20 spot welding points. The suspension and dampers have been retuned, and extensive testing at the "Toyota Technical Center Shimoyama"—which replicates diverse global road conditions—has further refined responsiveness, contributing to a superior, refined, and deeply satisfying driving experience.
Advanced features include an expanded "Lexus Safety System+" suite. The Pre-Collision Safety system now detects pedestrians at night, and the radar cruise control has been enhanced with a curve speed control function that automatically reduces speed when approaching curves.
Furthermore, the system can now be used as a digital key via a dedicated smartphone app, and a larger, higher-resolution display has been adopted to improve usability.
Lexus NX "F SPORT" (Prototype)
The sporty "F SPORT" grade now comes standard with performance dampers, which quickly absorb body flex and micro-vibrations to sharpen handling and improve ride comfort and quietness. In addition to the exclusive "F SPORT" seats and steering wheel, aluminum footrests and scuff plates have been newly added, making it an even sportier model.
The UX200/250h is scheduled to launch in Japan around summer 2022. Pricing has not yet been announced.
