Porsche's First All-Electric Sports Car Runs a Demo Lap in China
Porsche held a demonstration run event in Shanghai, China, for the new Taycan EV sports car prototype, scheduled for its world premiere in September. Similar events will follow in the UK and the US.

Porsche's First All-Electric Sports Car Achieves 0-100 km/h in Under 3.5 Seconds
Ahead of its world premiere this September, Porsche is conducting a "Porsche Triple Demo Run" demonstration driving event in three countries: China, the UK, and the US, featuring its first all-electric sports car, the Taycan.
The kickoff event took place on the handling course at the Porsche Experience Center (PEC) Shanghai in China. Li Chao, a driver from the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, took the wheel of the Taycan, adorned with a dragon motif symbolizing China on its roof.

The Taycan boasts a top speed exceeding 250 km/h, achieves 0-100 km/h in under 3.5 seconds, and reaches 200 km/h in under 12 seconds. Prior to its September world premiere, the car will undergo approximately 6 million kilometers of test driving in all climatic conditions, including tests for battery charging and drivetrain and cabin temperature control under extreme conditions.
In addition to Shanghai, the Taycan will be driven by renowned drivers at the Goodwood Festival of Speed's hill climb race in the UK from July 4th to 7th, and at the ABB FIA Formula E Championship season finale in New York on July 13th and 14th.
