An Art Car Celebrating a Capsule Collection with Palace Skateboards Lands in Tokyo

Mercedes-AMG and the UK-based streetwear brand PALACE SKATEBOARDS have announced the second installment of their co-branded "Capsule Collection." Following 2021, Mercedes-AMG and Palace Skateboards have collaborated again to announce a "Capsule Collection." The second installment focuses on street and urban lifestyles.
The collection, inspired by "automotive mechanic attire," features 23 co-branded apparel and accessory items sold online and at four Palace Skateboards flagship stores, including Tokyo.
And to celebrate the launch of this "Capsule Collection," art cars based on four Mercedes-AMG models have been created. Palace Skateboards founder Lev Tanju and his design team were inspired by the atmosphere of the four cities where the flagship stores are located—London, Los Angeles, New York, and Tokyo—to produce these designs.
In Tokyo, the "AMG G63 Palace Edition Space Horse Tokyo" is featured, based on the "Mercedes-AMG 63." It pays homage to Japanese fantasy culture with a depiction of a horse galloping through space on both sides of the vehicle. The car will be on display at Mercedes me Tokyo until April 12, 2022.
In addition, "Tiger London," based on the "Mercedes-AMG A 45 S," "Sunset LA," based on the "Mercedes-AMG SL 63 4MATIC+," and "Neon Fade New York," based on the "Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4MATIC+," have been created and will be exhibited in their respective cities.
This special model will be offered at auction. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, for which Mercedes-Benz serves as a global partner, supporting social initiatives through sports. The auction will be conducted online and will accept bids until Tuesday, April 12, 2022.
