General Motors Japan announced that it will launch the Cadillac XT6 Platinum, a 6-seater crossover SUV, on January 1, 2020. A limited-edition "Night Cruise Edition" will also be released simultaneously to commemorate the XT6's debut, with only 30 units available.

The Cadillac XT6, a 6-seater, three-row crossover SUV announced at the 2019 Detroit Auto Show, has arrived in Japan.

The XT6's most distinctive feature is its interior space, designed for families and friends to spend quality time together, with a layout that allows easy access to the third row by passing between the captain's seats in the second row.

The powertrain consists of a 3.6-liter V6 engine producing a maximum output of 213kW (314ps) and a maximum torque of 368Nm (37.5kgm). Power is delivered to all four wheels through a newly designed 9-speed automatic transmission for improved drivetrain efficiency.

Safety features include Intelligent Matrix LED headlamps for optimal nighttime visibility, Active Cruise Control, Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Camera Mirror, and Rear Pedestrian Braking as standard equipment.

The interior also features premium materials such as trim finishes and leather seats. For audio, the cabin is equipped with 14 speakers from the BOSE Performance Series Sound System, specially tuned for Cadillac, delivering rich sound throughout the cabin.

The body is available in five colors, including Radiant Silver Metallic, and is priced at 8.7 million yen.

The "Night Cruise Edition," a limited model, features a "Gray Satin Steel Metallic" body color, which is not available in Japan.

The interior is enhanced with a premium feel, combining Jet Black for a sophisticated, active image with Bronze Carbon accents.

It also includes "Night Vision," a safety feature that uses a thermal infrared sensor to detect people and animals ahead and alert the driver, reducing driving stress.

The price is 9.1 million yen, an increase of 400,000 yen over the base model.
