A Model for Personalization with the "G manufaktur Program"
Born in 1979, the G-Class has evolved while retaining its fundamental styling and robust body, incorporating contemporary powertrains and features. Its most significant revision, in 2018, remains fresh in memory.
The "G 400 d" now joins the G-Class lineup. Its powertrain is the 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder diesel turbo engine "OM656," also found in the entry-level "G 350 d." Through adjustments to its software and drivetrain, it produces a maximum output of 243 kW, 33 kW more than the "G 350 d," and its maximum torque has been increased by 100 Nm to 700 Nm.
While its functions and equipment are identical to the "G 350 d," the "G 400 d" offers an expanded palette of 12 optional body colors in addition to those available for the "G 350 d." Furthermore, it is eligible for the "G manufaktur program," which allows for a wide range of interior colors and enhanced, exclusive features, enabling customers to create a vehicle tailored to their preferences.
The "G 400 d" is available with a choice of left-hand or right-hand drive. Its price is ¥12.89 million, ¥380,000 higher than the base "G 350 d." Other G-Class models are priced at ¥12.51 million for the "G 350 d," ¥17.05 million for the 4.0-liter V8 gasoline turbo "G 550," and ¥22.18 million for the "Mercedes-AMG G 63," which features the same engine.
