4.0-liter V8 Engine with 48V Mild Hybrid for Environmental Consideration

The RS models are developed by Audi Sport, which handles Audi's high-performance models. The two models newly added are the station wagon "RS 6 Avant" and the four-door coupe "RS 7 Sportback."
Both models are powered by a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine that produces a maximum output of 441kW (600ps) and a maximum torque of 800Nm. Efficiency and environmental performance are considered through the use of a 48V mild hybrid system and cylinder on demand (cod). The transmission is an 8-speed Tiptronic.
The drive system is quattro all-wheel drive, equipped with a self-locking differential and a rear sport differential. The suspension is standard RS adaptive air suspension with sportier tuning.
Furthermore, RS sport suspension plus, which combines coil springs and damping control suspension with dynamic ride control (DRC), is available as an option. The DRC, which incorporates a unique hydraulic system, suppresses body roll during cornering and pitching during sudden acceleration and deceleration, realizing dynamic handling without compromising ride comfort.
In addition, the all-wheel steering system, which steers the front wheels in the opposite phase to the rear wheels depending on the situation to improve maneuverability at low speeds and enhances steering response at high speeds by steering in the same phase, and the drive select with RS mode are also installed.
The exterior of both models features RS model-exclusive designs, including a gloss black 3D honeycomb single-frame grille and prominently flared fenders.
The interior of both models features S sport seats upholstered in Valcona leather. The sporty feel and premium quality are enhanced by features such as large aluminum shift paddles and a three-spoke steering wheel with multifunction buttons and a heating function. The infotainment system, equipped with two touch displays (10.1-inch and 8.6-inch), and the Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system are also standard equipment.
The price is 17.64 million yen for the RS 6 Avant and 17.99 million yen for the RS 7 Sportback.
