Up to 140 km/h on Electric Power Alone, 44 km Range Per Charge

With the introduction of the PHV model to the X3, BMW claims it achieves a balance of practicality and environmental performance, allowing for eco-conscious driving in urban areas using only electric power, as well as consideration for the environment during outdoor activities.
The powertrain combines a 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder gasoline engine producing a maximum output of 184 ps (135 kW) at 5,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 300 Nm between 1,350 and 4,000 rpm, with an electric motor delivering 109 ps (80 kW) at 3,140 rpm and 265 Nm of torque at 1,500 rpm, achieving a total system output of 292 ps (215 kW).
The electric motor alone can reach a maximum speed of 140 km/h and offers a range of 44 km on a single charge. It is equipped with a 34 Ah lithium-ion battery, which can be charged from 0% to 80% in approximately 3.5 hours, and to 100% in 4.3 hours.
Driving modes can be selected using the "eDrive" button on the center console: "MAX eDrive" for pure electric driving, "AUTO eDrive" which selects the optimal drive mode between electric and engine power based on driving conditions, and "Battery Control" which allows the driver to maintain a set battery charge level using the engine.
The "Driving Assistant Plus" safety and driver assistance system and the comprehensive telematics service "BMW ConnectedDrive" are standard equipment. Prices range from 7.78 million yen for the xLine Edition Joy + to 8.63 million yen for the M Sport.
