BMW has announced the limited-edition M2 CS, a compact sports model, with only 60 units available. However, all 60 have already been sold.

Lighter and More Powerful Than the M2 Competition

Based on the high-spec compact sports coupé "M2 Competition" developed by BMW M, the "M2 CS" was created to be lighter and deliver superior performance on the circuit.
The M2 CS boasts a 40ps increase in maximum output compared to the M2 Competition, featuring a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder twin-turbo engine that produces 450ps (331kW) and 550Nm of torque.
With standard adaptive M suspension tuned for circuit driving and an active M differential that optimally distributes power between the rear wheels via an electronically controlled multi-plate clutch, it achieves high driving stability while maximizing power delivery to the road, even during aggressive circuit driving.
To reduce weight and enhance driving performance, the body incorporates carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) for the roof, front splitter, rear spoiler, rear diffuser, and bonnet.
The roof utilizes a sandwich structure with CFRP, improving cabin sound insulation and rigidity. The CFRP bonnet features a large air intake vent, creating a distinctive design befitting a high-performance model, while optimizing airflow around and under the body to reduce drag.
The interior is equipped with an Alcantara M Sport steering wheel, carbon door handles, and a carbon center console. The seats are M Competition sport seats with illuminated M2 emblems.
The sales volume was limited to 60 units (already sold out), with prices starting at ¥12.6 million for the MT model and ¥12.85 million for the DCT model.
