Maximum Torque Increased by 15 Nm to 175 Nm Compared to Previous Model's Unit
The A1 Sportback, which underwent a full model change in November 2019 to become the second generation, has evolved significantly. The wheelbase, extended by 95 millimeters compared to the previous model, has greatly expanded the interior space, and advanced technologies such as the virtual cockpit and driver assistance systems have been incorporated.
The exterior adopts a low and wide Singleframe grille, creating a powerful presence.
Previously, only a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder gasoline turbo was available. Now, the 1.0-liter 3-cylinder gasoline turbo model, which was announced at the time of the launch, has been added.
The introduced engine produces a maximum torque of 175 Nm, an increase of 15 Nm compared to the previous model's unit, and a maximum output of 95 ps. It drives the front wheels via a 7-speed S tronic transmission and achieves a fuel economy of 15.2 km/ℓ in WLTC mode.
The prices are 3.25 million yen for the "A1 Sportback 25 TFSI Advanced" and 2.94 million yen for the "A1 Sportback 25 TFSI."
