Drive-Through Testing Facility Set Up at Fiorano Circuit
Ferrari, which restarted production on May 4 after a halt due to the coronavirus pandemic, had already implemented the “Back on Track” program, signifying recovery and return.
Now, entering its second phase, the program is being expanded to include employees’ families and suppliers who work within Ferrari facilities.
Testing is conducted in a drive-through format within a specially erected 1,000-square-meter tent at the Fiorano Circuit. Thousands of family members, cohabiting with approximately 4,000 employees, will be accommodated, with doctors and medical staff administering antibody tests.
Participation in the antibody testing is voluntary. For those requiring further investigation, a PCR swab test is also available. The tests take only a few minutes, and subjects do not need to leave their vehicles.
Phase two of the project will involve an additional 18,000 individuals, thereby extending diagnostic reach to the entire “Ferrari community.”
The data gathered from these tests, along with information from the overall program, will be shared with the Emilia-Romagna region, Ferrari’s home base, for its benefit.
