Lineup Revised with Minor Change
The highlight of this minor change is the adoption of a 1.6-liter inline-4 turbo engine and the second-generation 6-speed automatic transmission.
This 1.6-liter inline-4 turbo engine achieves a maximum output of 156ps, a 13ps increase over the existing 2.0-liter engine, while complying with Euro 5, the new European emissions standard. Despite a 4.1kgm increase in maximum torque, the 10-15 mode fuel economy has improved by approximately 12 percent to 10.2km/ℓ.
The second-generation transmission paired with this engine achieves both outstanding performance and improved fuel economy by minimizing frictional losses. It features smooth gear changes and high quietness. Furthermore, by widening the lock-up range from 2nd to 6th gear, it delivers a direct driving feel and quick shift response.
The lineup has also been changed with this minor update. In addition to the existing 3.0-liter V6 model "C5 3.0 Exclusive," the "C5 Seduction" and "C5 Exclusive" have been newly introduced. The 2.0-liter inline-4 model has been discontinued, resulting in a lineup of three sedan models and three Tourer models, for a total of six models.
