Let's Increase Mangrove Trees in Thailand, the Birthplace of Natural Rubber

"Team Enasave" is an initiative where purchasing a set of four Enasave series tires results in the planting of one mangrove seedling in Thailand. In 2009, 137,424 mangrove trees were planted. The third phase of this initiative will run for 10 months, from March 1st to December 31st, 2010.

This tree-planting activity aims to contribute significantly to the nature and lives of people in Thailand by increasing mangroves in Thailand, the origin of natural rubber used as a tire material. This not only helps reduce CO2 but also revitalizes local communities through expanded education and employment, restores rich ecosystems for wildlife, and protects against tsunami damage.

For the design of the "Enasave Car," which is launching now, the up-and-coming artist Akiko Kanna was commissioned. With the theme "Harmony with Nature," she has overlaid the form of the Toyota Prius with a landscape, expressing the scenery of mangrove growth, the gentle nature that mangroves bring, and the creatures that inhabit it.

Starting with an exhibition at "Rally Hokkaido" held from May 21st, 2010, the car will be showcased at exhibition events across the country to widely promote the "Team Enasave" tree-planting activities.
