Leather Seats and Seat Heaters Create a More Refined and Comfortable Interior

The "Explorer," which was just previewed with a major minor change for the 2016 model year at the LA Auto Show held at the end of last year, has undergone several specification changes since its sales began in Japan in 2011, demonstrating its refinement and evolution.

The special edition "4WD XLT Exclusive" released this time is based on the 4WD model "XLT," equipped with the "Terrain Management System" that allows for off-road driving with a simple dial operation. The engine is a 3.5-liter unit delivering a maximum output of 216kW (294ps) and a maximum torque of 345Nm (35.2kgm).

Special features include a dual-panel sunroof for an open panoramic view. The interior adopts charcoal black leather seats, and the front seats are also equipped with seat heaters, creating a more refined and comfortable space.

The body colors are available in two options: Tuxedo Black and White Platinum. The sales volume is limited to 80 units, and the price is 4,708,000 yen, an increase of 150,000 yen from the base model.
