The Latest Concept Car in the New DS Series

Citroën has announced details of the "DS High Rider," a concept car that signals the direction for the "DS4," the second model in the new DS series.

Compact Yet Tall Form is a Key Feature

This concept car is positioned as a model that indicates the direction for the "DS4," which will be the second model in the DS series after the "DS3" announced at last year's Frankfurt Motor Show.

Like the DS3, the body type is a 3-door hatchback, but Citroën describes this model as a 2-door coupe.

The body size is slightly larger than the DS3, measuring 4,260mm in length, 1,820mm in width, and 1,480mm in height. Looking at the released photos, there's a sense of volume around the fenders, creating a compact yet impactful finish. Citroën comments, "Compared to traditional four-seaters, its compact yet tall form is a key feature."

A Diesel Hybrid Powertrain?

The powertrain is said to be a diesel hybrid. However, there are also rumors that this model might be equipped with PSA's (Peugeot Citroën) 4WD hybrid system, "Hybrid4."

This DS High Rider concept was officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show held in March. Although it is a concept car, its high level of finish suggests it is very close to production-ready.
