First Car Delivery Ceremony Held at Cornes Shiba

Until now, the latest Ferrari special series, the "LaFerrari," had only been glimpsed at events such as "Ferrari Brunch" and the "Asama Motor Festival," or on closed courses within Japan. Now, official license registration is complete. On December 11, 2014, a grand delivery ceremony for the first car was held at the Cornes Shiba Ferrari Tokyo showroom.

The owner of the first LaFerrari in Japan is Mr. Yoshiho Matsuda, who is perhaps the most fitting recipient. Mr. Matsuda is a renowned global collector of classic Ferraris and a true 'Ferrarista,' actively participating in Ferrari racing since the "348 Challenge" era.

In 2006, he was awarded the Order of Merit for Civic Merit by the Italian Republic government in recognition of his contributions to his country's culture. Though he humbly denies it, he is, at least by title, a distinguished figure recognized by the Italian government as being on par with the late Enzo Ferrari himself.

The day began with the signing of the warranty book at a corner of the Cornes Ferrari Tokyo showroom, followed by the unveiling of the star of the day, a vibrant yellow LaFerrari, alongside Mr. Lino de Paoli, President of Ferrari Japan. Subsequently, after a bouquet presentation by Mr. Sarumaru, President of Cornes Motors, and a toast with Spumante (brand: FERRARI) with members of the Ferrari Owners Club of Japan, the event concluded as a truly splendid and warm ceremony.

Amidst the applause from all the guests present, the first LaFerrari in Japan was handed over to Mr. Matsuda. It was a historic moment, marking the entrustment of the ultimate Ferrari of its time to one of Japan's most esteemed Ferraristi.
