The Audi TT RS Coupe, a model that surpasses the TTS, is a new model produced by quattro GmbH, which handles Audi's high-end sports models such as the R8 and RS6. Like previous RS series models, it delivers outstanding road manners and power performance.

Its most distinctive feature is the revival and installation of the five-cylinder engine, a technology that symbolizes the Audi brand. The newly developed, lightweight, and compact inline five-cylinder TFSI engine for the TT RS Coupe produces a maximum output of 340 horsepower and a maximum torque of 450 Nm. This power is reliably transmitted to the road via a 6-speed manual transmission and the quattro permanent all-wheel-drive system. Incidentally, its 0-100 km/h acceleration is 4.6 seconds, surpassing the 5.2 seconds of the Porsche Cayman S, considered a rival. It boasts a top speed of 250 km/h (with limiter engaged). Audi's five-cylinder engine powered numerous models that defined eras, including the Audi quattro that dominated motorsport in the 1980s. Audi has revived this tradition for the modern era, crafting the Audi TT RS Coupe into an unparalleled sports car.

While boasting extremely high power performance, its excellent environmental performance is also a major appeal. It achieves a fuel economy of 10.6 km/l in the 10-15 mode and CO2 emissions of 219 g/km, demonstrating the capabilities of Audi's high-efficiency engine technology.

The exterior features exclusive treatments such as large-area front air intakes, a specially designed rear diffuser insert, and a fixed rear spoiler, exuding the racy atmosphere characteristic of the RS series.

Available only with a 6-speed manual transmission, the price is 8.35 million yen.

BRAND HISTORY
The Audi emblem is the "Four Rings." As you may know, each ring represents one of the automobile manufacturers: Audi, DKW (Draisine Kraft Wagen), Horch, and Wanderer. All were based in Saxony and were leading brands in the German automotive industry at the beginning of the 20th century. However, affected by the Great Depression after World War I, the four companies, in a bid for survival, formed Auto Union in 1932. DKW specialized in motorcycles and small cars, Wanderer in mid-size cars, Audi in premium mid-size cars, and Horch in luxury cars.

However, following Germany's defeat in World War II, Saxony in East Germany fell under Soviet occupation, and Auto Union ceased to exist. Anticipating this, a new Auto Union was established in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, in West Germany. Unlike BMW and Mercedes-Benz, Auto Union faced a challenging start with no existing factories, but gradually gained strength through the production of vehicles like the DKW delivery van.

In late 1964, Auto Union came under the umbrella of Volkswagen and soon introduced new models bearing the Audi name. In 1969, it merged with NSU, based in Neckarsulm (known for developing the Wankel engine), becoming Audi NSU Auto Union. From 1985 onwards, it has continued as Audi to the present day. Technologies such as quattro, dynamic performance backed by motorsport activities, elegant design, and high-quality finishes are driving Audi's popularity.
