First Limited Model After Minor Change

The "Black Knight," featuring an impressive matte black body color that signifies "black knight," has arrived for the "MINI Crossover" and "MINI Paceman," which underwent a minor change in September of this year. The MINI Crossover is based on the "MINI Cooper SD Crossover," an upper-grade model that was the first in the domestic MINI lineup to feature a diesel engine. For the 3-door MINI Paceman, the base is the sports model "MINI John Cooper Works Paceman," handled by John Cooper Works (JCW).



Both models adopt the special matte black body color "Frozen Black," which is not part of the regular options. The roof and mirror caps also feature this color, creating a unique presence. Furthermore, the black-reflector Xenon headlights and piano black finished headlight frames further enhance the atmosphere.



The Cooper SD Crossover is powered by a 2-liter inline 4-cylinder diesel turbo engine, delivering a maximum output of 105 kW (143 ps) and a maximum torque of 305 Nm. The interior also features black leather seats, dashboard, and door trims, accented with piano black finishers, all unified in black.



Meanwhile, the MINI JCW Paceman boasts a 1.6-liter inline 4-cylinder turbo engine with a maximum output of 160 kW (218 ps) and a maximum torque of 280 Nm, which can be increased to 300 Nm with the overboost function. The exterior features red accents on the front grille, characteristic of JCW, and larger 19-inch alloy wheels. The interior, with its leather lounge seats, further enhances the sporty atmosphere.



Sales volume and pricing for the MINI Cooper SD Crossover Black Knight are limited to 140 units at 4.51 million yen. The MINI JCW Paceman Black Knight is limited to just 10 units, priced at 5.43 million yen.
