Dressed Up with Special Military Paint and Wheels
The G-Class was first released in 1979. While its fundamental styling and boxy body have remained largely unchanged over the years, earning it the long-standing nickname "Geländewagen" (German for off-roader), it has continuously evolved with powertrains and features adapted to each era.
Now, two special edition models have been launched to celebrate the G-Class's 35th anniversary. The "G 63 35th Anniversary Edition" is a high-performance model based on the "G 63 AMG" which boasts 400 kW (544 hp) and 760 Nm (77.5 kgm) of torque from its 5.5-liter V8 twin-turbo engine engineered by AMG.
The body color features a "Yellow Olive Matt" military paint, exclusive to this model in Japan. The wheels are also 20-inch AMG 5-spoke aluminum wheels in matte black, exclusive to this model, creating a special exterior finish.
Inside, it is equipped with the "designo Exclusive Interior Package," normally an optional feature. The "Titanium Pearl/Black" leather interior, matching the special body color, features diamond stitching, while the dashboard, made of Nappa leather, is accented with double stitching, creating a luxurious interior space that exudes craftsmanship.
The G 63 AMG 35th Anniversary Edition is limited to 35 units and is priced at 19.5 million yen.

It features AMG fender flares, which are not normally offered, and exclusive 18-inch titanium gray painted aluminum wheels, enhancing its sporty appearance.
The interior features high-quality and stylish chestnut brown leather seats.
Body colors include "Magnetite Black" metallic paint, limited to 130 units, and "Polar White" solid paint, limited to 70 units. The price for both colors is 10.5 million yen.
