Abarth Enters the Luxury Sports Car Market

The Fiat Abarth 695 Tribute Ferrari is a limited edition model that reflects Ferrari's sporty image onto the Abarth 500. This marks Abarth's entry into the luxury sports car market, with expectations of demand from Ferrari owners seeking a second car.

As evident from the photos, the exterior is painted in "Scuderia Red," Ferrari's signature color, and the door mirrors are made of carbon fiber. The two stripes running across the bonnet, roof, and rear gate are inspired by the Ferrari "F430 Scuderia." The alloy wheels and rear intake are finished in racing gray, and the headlights have been upgraded to Magneti Marelli xenon units.

Turning to the interior, the first thing that catches the eye is the dedicated "Abarth Corsa by Sabelt" bucket seats. These carbon fiber seats are 10kg lighter than the standard seats in the Abarth 500. The surface is upholstered in black leather, similar to the steering wheel, with red leather accents.

1.4-Liter Turbocharged Engine Produces 180 PS

The instrument cluster is from Jaeger, the same manufacturer used by Ferrari. The floor is finished in aluminum, creating a sporty ambiance. Details like the "Scorpion" logo on the aluminum pedals also showcase meticulous attention to detail.

The engine is a 1.4-liter turbocharged "T-Jet" inline-4. Through tuning focused on the intake and exhaust systems, it achieves a maximum output of 180 PS. When driven, the Abarth "Record Monza" exhaust system is said to produce a captivating exhaust note from around 3000 rpm. The transmission is a two-pedal manual, known as "MTA."

The suspension features reinforced dampers, and the brakes are Brembo four-piston units. The rotors are a large 284mm in diameter.

Production numbers and pricing for the Abarth 695 Tribute Ferrari have not been disclosed. Its introduction to Japan also remains uncertain at this time.
