INFINITY M | The Next-Generation Fuga Unveiled

The Next-Generation Fuga Unveiled

At the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in California, Infiniti announced its new "M" model (Nissan Fuga in Japan).

A V6 Diesel for Europe

The models announced this time are the "M37" equipped with a 3.7-liter V6 engine (336ps) and the "M56," based on a 5.6-liter V8 generating over 400ps. However, there will be no V8 option for Europe; a V6 diesel is planned.

The exterior design is a more glamorous and muscular evolution of the "Infiniti G37" (Nissan Skyline in Japan), with a strong presence. The front fascia is inspired by the "Essence" concept car unveiled at this year's Geneva Motor Show.

Launch in Spring 2010

The interior, like the exterior, balances sportiness and luxury. Carefully selected high-quality materials such as leather and wood are used, and many advanced technologies are incorporated, including "Active Stability Assist," "Side Collision Prevention," "Forest Air" conditioning, and an "Intelligent Pedal with Navigation Coordination Function."

The new Infiniti "M" will go on sale in Spring 2010 and is scheduled to be launched in 32 markets worldwide, including North America and Europe. Footage from the Pebble Beach reveal event is available on video-sharing sites.

A dedicated preview website for the next-generation Fuga has also been opened.
