Nissan Unveils the Magnite, a New Compact SUV for India
Nissan has announced the Magnite, a new compact SUV for India. It is scheduled for launch in early 2021, with plans for release in other regions thereafter.

Developed to Meet the Needs of Indian Customers
The Magnite is Nissan's first compact SUV with a length under 4 meters. Its name, derived from "Magnetic" (meaning attractive) and "Ignite" (meaning to evoke emotion), embodies Nissan's vision for a new era in growth markets like India.
Developed using Nissan's Tochigi test facility to meet the needs of Indian customers, the Magnite is equipped with a new 1.0-liter turbo engine. It features a ground clearance of 205mm for confidence on rough roads, Hill Start Assist, and silver skid plates on the front and rear bumpers. Additionally, it includes functional roof rails and an Around View Monitor, an advanced safety technology that enhances visibility of obstacles around the vehicle.
The exterior boasts a grille with Nissan's new brand logo and sharp LED headlights with integrated daytime running lights, creating a design that emphasizes its SUV character.
The interior offers ample space for the driver and front passenger, creating a comfortable cabin. The 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A TFT liquid crystal display for the meters enhances the premium ambiance.
The Magnite is positioned as a key model in Nissan's "Nissan NEXT" business structural reform plan. It will launch in India in early 2021, with subsequent releases planned for other regions.
