Audi TT RS

Introducing the Latest, Fastest "Tourist Trophy"

Audihas unveiled the "TT RS," a high-performance version of the Audi TT. It will be available in two types: coupe and roadster.

By Giraffe

The "TT RS" was developed by quattro GmbH, and its most distinctive feature is the adoption of a five-cylinder engine. The displacement is 2.5 liters, which is 500cc larger than the current high-performance TTS model.

This engine is also equipped with a turbocharger, achieving a maximum output of 340 hp. The maximum torque is announced at 45.9 kgm, with its peak torque sustained between 1600 rpm and 5300 rpm.
These figures suggest an engine that boasts exceptional power while remaining flat and easy to handle. The actual performance derived from these engine specifications is a 0-100 km/h acceleration of 4.6 seconds for the coupe and 4.7 seconds for the roadster. The top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h, but it can reach 280 km/h with the limiter removed. The transmission used is a manual gearbox.

The exterior features changes to the front and rear bumpers and side sills compared to the base model. An optional variable rear spoiler is also available.

The interior comes standard with heated leather/Alcantara seats, a multifunction sports steering wheel, a boost gauge, and an oil temperature gauge.

The price is announced at 55,800 euros (approximately 7.42 million yen) for the coupe and 58,650 euros (approximately 7.80 million yen) for the roadster (prices are for Europe).
