GT-R Sets New Nürburgring Lap Record!
Loyalty Program Launched for Owners

Following minor enhancements announced and released in December 2008,the 2009 model "Nissan GT-R"announced the results of its performance testing conducted at Germany's Nürburgring circuit.

Further Updates to GT-R's World-Class Lap Times

On April 16, 2009, the "Nissan GT-R" recorded a lap time of 7:27.56, followed by 7:26.70 on April 23. These times surpassed the car's previous official record of 7:29, establishing a new benchmark for production cars and proving the further evolution of the 2009 model. The vehicle used was a standard domestic model, equipped with standard Dunlop tires. Toshio Suzuki was the driver on both days.

The "Loyalty Program"

Additionally, a "Loyalty Program" has been established for owners of "GT-R" models prior to the 2009 model year. This program is designed to allow owners to experience the advancements of the 2009 model, offering complimentary transmission control logic updates for the 2009 model and making performance-enhancing parts used in the 2009 model and Spec V available for purchase.

This allows for smoother, more refined gear changes between first and second gears, enabling powerful acceleration without stalling even from a standstill. Furthermore, owners can now purchase and install performance-enhancing components such as suspension sets, brake parts, alloy wheels, and for the Spec V, carbon bucket seats, titanium mufflers, and reservoir tanks.

To help reduce vehicle maintenance costs, fluid replacement intervals have been extended based on usage, and the prices of wear-and-tear parts have also been reduced.
