Improved Lithium-Ion Battery Capacity and Motor Output
To commemorate "Four-Wheel Drive Day" on April 4th, a date chosen because Daimler developed the world's first passenger car equipped with a four-wheel drive system in 1907, the four-wheel drive PHEV model "350e 4MATIC Coupe" of the "GLC Coupe," which underwent a minor change in October 2019, has been introduced.
The powertrain combines a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder turbo engine producing a maximum output of 155kW (211ps) and 350Nm of torque with a PHEV system. With an increased lithium-ion battery capacity of 13.5kWh, the motor assist has been enhanced. The combined system output is 235kW (320ps) with a maximum torque of 700Nm.
It is possible to drive on electric power alone up to 130 km/h, allowing it to be used like an electric vehicle, with a recorded electric range of 45.2 km.
Furthermore, a 6.0kW (30A) compatible AC Level 2 charger is provided free of charge for home charging, along with a 100,000 yen subsidy to help reduce installation costs. Additionally, "Mercedes me Charge AC" has been newly introduced, allowing access to approximately 15,000 NCS-affiliated Level 2 chargers nationwide for a monthly basic fee of 3,000 yen.
Like the standard GLC, it comes standard with the "MBUX" interactive infotainment system, activated by saying "Hey, Mercedes," and the latest generation of driver assistance systems. The price is 9.22 million yen.
