A Modern Interpretation of the "NO.1 Bentley Blower," Born 90 Years Ago
Bentley is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. The "Continental GT Convertible Number 1 Edition by Mulliner" has been unveiled as the final model in the centenary trilogy.
The homage is to the "NO.1 Bentley Blower," which set a record of 137 mph (220.5 km/h) on the Brooklands outer lap in 1932, a record that stood unbroken for two years. A bespoke model, limited to 100 units, offers a modern interpretation of this icon.

Exterior color options include Dragon Red II or Beluga, with the roof available in Claret or Beluga. The front grille features the legendary "1" numeral painted on it, along with 18-carat gold-plated fender badges, jewel filler caps, and oil filler caps. It is also equipped with 22-inch MDS (Mulliner Driving Specification) wheels in either a cricket ball finish or gloss black.
Inside, in addition to a new color split featuring cricket ball or Beluga as the main hide, the heritage hide seats and door pads are debossed with the "B" badge. Furthermore, each car features a handcrafted dashboard with a British Jaeger clock displaying the "1" numeral on its face, and panels with a "turned aluminium" finish to reduce light reflection on the center console.
The rotating display incorporates a small wheel spinner embedded in resin, reminiscent of the wheel spinners found on the "No.1" model and historic Bentleys. This spinner is cast from actual pistons used in the "No.1" model, which were removed during restoration.
