First Limited Edition Cherokee Inspired by Warriors

Fiat Chrysler Japan announced on the 31st that it will offer a limited edition "Cherokee Warrior," based on the off-road oriented "Trailhawk" version of the new Jeep "Cherokee" released in May. A limited run of 150 units will go on sale starting Saturday, August 23rd.

The new "Cherokee," which underwent a full model change in the U.S. last year and just began sales in Japan this May,new "Cherokee"has transformed into a crossover SUV, featuring a sporty exterior and the introduction of an FF model.

Now, the first limited edition of this new Cherokee, named "Cherokee Warrior" – meaning "warrior" or "brave person" – has arrived. Inspired by the warriors of the Cherokee tribe, known for their bravery among Native Americans and the origin of the Cherokee name, this model is based on the off-road-focused "Trailhawk" with added equipment.

The powertrain is Chrysler's "Pentastar engine," a 3.2-liter V6 that has been named one of Ward's "10 Best Engines" for three consecutive years, producing a maximum output of 200 kW (272 ps) and a maximum torque of 315 Nm (32.1 kgm). Furthermore, in addition to the "Trailhawk's" off-road capability, a safety package that supports on-road driving and enhances safety performance is standard.

Inside, leather seats with red stitching create a stylish atmosphere, enhancing comfort. The exterior features a matte black decal on the hood expressing a rugged look and black aluminum wheels as accents. Additionally, an off-road kit, normally an accessory, is standard.

Body colors include the special "Eco Green," a symbolic color for the Jeep brand, and the popular classic "Brilliant Black Crystal." While equipped with special features valued at approximately 700,000 yen, the price is 4,514,400 yen, an increase of about 150,000 yen from the base model.
