Two types of models will be sold in Japan. The "NX200t," equipped with a 2-liter downsizing turbo engine for the first time in Lexus history, delivers a maximum output of 175kW (238ps) and a maximum torque of 350Nm (35.7kgm). A 6-speed automatic transmission has also been newly developed to complement this turbo engine. This AT incorporates a sequential shiftmatic that allows for manual-feeling gear changes, paddle shifters, and "G AI-SHIFT" for optimized shift control during cornering.

Meanwhile, the "NX300h" is a hybrid model combining a 2.5-liter engine with a motor. The maximum output is 112kW (152ps) for the engine and 105kW (143ps) for the motor, with maximum torque of 206Nm (21.0kgm) and 270Nm (27.5kgm), respectively.
