Setup in Just 7 Minutes

In Le Mans, the site of the third round of the World Endurance Championship (WEC), Audi presented a concept for enjoying the outdoors with its compact SUV, the Q3. At its heart is a tent that can be integrated with the Q3.

Dubbed the "Q3 Camping Tent," this is a newly developed concept item. It's a robust tent that can be set up in a mere seven minutes by removing it from its dedicated storage bag, unfolding it, and inflating it with air, offering both convenience and the ability to withstand strong winds of up to 70 km/h.

Another distinctive feature is the "window" that can be attached to the outside of the tent. By connecting the Q3 here with the rear hatch open, it allows direct access from the tent into the vehicle's interior. To prevent wind, rain, and dirt from the vehicle from entering the tent, the opening is designed to fit snugly into the Q3's cargo area, with the hatch door covering it from the outside and the tent extending down to cover the bumper.

While unfortunately still a concept and not slated for commercial production, it's certainly an intriguing item as the outdoor season approaches.
