Limited Edition Innovator with Enhanced Features for the 5 Series Sedan

On the 28th, BMW announced the "Innovator," a special edition model for the 5 Series Sedan's "523i" and "523d," featuring a wealth of equipment. Sales have begun with a limited production of 210 units.

Special Edition Featuring Diverse Equipment and a Refined Interior

The BMW "5 Series" underwent a minor change last September, with a facelift that also upgraded its communication functions and safety. "BMW ConnectedDrive Standard," which includes "BMW SOS Call" and "BMW Teleservices" that monitor occupant safety and vehicle status using the onboard communication module, became standard on all models.

The "Innovator" special edition, now available for the "523i" with its 2-liter turbo engine and the "523d" equipped with a 2-liter diesel turbo engine, further enhances these communication capabilities. It incorporates the "BMW ConnectedDrive Premium" function, which allows for destination searches and settings via call center operators and remote vehicle operation via smartphone.

Additionally, it features a "Multi Display Meter Panel" that enhances the driving atmosphere by switching the instrument cluster display according to three modes: Eco Pro, Comfort, and Sport. The visibility is also improved by enlarging the numbers indicated by the needles on the speedometer and tachometer.

Furthermore, the "Adaptive LED Headlights" are included, which serve as a striking accent to the front view and provide excellent visibility at night and in poor weather conditions during the day.

Inside, the vehicle features Cinnamon Brown Dakota leather seats. The Fine-line Anthracite wood interior trim is also a special equipment, creating a luxurious cabin ambiance.

The price for the "523i Innovator" is 7.15 million yen, and the "523d Innovator" is 7.38 million yen. This represents an increase of 820,000 yen over the standard models, offering a cost advantage of approximately 500,000 yen compared to the total price of optional equipment.
