BMW Introduces "Smart Cruise" Special Package for 3 Series

Special "Smart Cruise" Package Offered Free on 3 Series Sedan
On the 13th, BMW announced the launch of the "Smart Cruise" special package for the 3 Series Sedan, featuring operator-assisted navigation and Active Cruise Control. This package will be included free of charge on all models.

Within BMW's lineup, the3 Series Sedanis a core model in terms of sales, offering a diverse range of variations including 2-liter turbo and 3-liter turbo gasoline engines, as well as diesel and hybrid powertrains.
For the 3 Series, the "BMW ConnectedDrive Standard" package, which includes "BMW SOS Call" for enhanced safety via the onboard communication module and "BMW Teleservices" for optimal vehicle condition, has always been standard. Now, an enhanced package has been introduced.
The "Smart Cruise" special package, newly released, adds to the standard features by including "BMW ConnectedDrive Premium" as standard, which allows an operator to search for destinations and set up navigation simply by speaking while driving, using the communication module.
This also includes features such as unlocking and locking the vehicle via smartphone and displaying/operating smartphone apps on the car's control display.
Furthermore, "Active Cruise Control," which automatically adjusts speed to maintain a set distance from the vehicle ahead using millimetre-wave radar sensors and controls the vehicle to a stop at low speeds, is now standard on all models except the manual transmission "320i."
While the "Smart Cruise" package would normally be a ¥180,000 option, it is being offered without any change to the vehicle's price.
