Volvo S60 and V60 Complete Cars Now Available for Order

On May 1st, Volvo Car Japan announced the commencement of domestic advance orders for the "S60 Polestar" and "V60 Polestar" complete cars, developed by Polestar, the specialist in Volvo tuning. As special limited editions, only 30 units of the S60 Polestar sedan and 60 units of the V60 Polestar wagon will be sold, with deliveries scheduled for early autumn this year.

The powertrain features the "T6 engine," a 3-liter inline-six turbo, now equipped with a twin-scroll turbo and intercooler. A dedicated computer program has been implemented, increasing maximum output by 33 kW to 257 kW (350 ps) at 5,700 rpm, and maximum torque has been boosted by 60 Nm to 500 Nm between 2,800-4,750 rpm.

The transmission's shift program for the 6-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters has been modified. The Haldex all-wheel-drive system has also received Polestar-specific tuning for more aggressive rear-wheel power distribution, achieving 0-100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds.

The chassis features a 80 percent increase in spring rate compared to the base vehicle's sports suspension, along with dedicated Öhlins shock absorbers and 20-inch Polestar alloy wheels, embodying Polestar's philosophy in every detail.

Pricing and sales figures: The "S60 Polestar" sedan is priced at 7.99 million yen, limited to 30 units. The "V60 Polestar" station wagon is priced at 8.19 million yen, limited to 60 units. Deliveries for both are set to begin in early autumn this year.
