A Special Edition Explorer Offers an Open, Airy Experience

Ford Japan Limited has introduced a special edition of its SUV, the "Explorer," called the "XLT Eco Boost Exclusive." Sales will begin on Saturday, June 14th, with a limited run of 400 units.

Interior Features Exclusive Charcoal Black Leather Seats

The "Explorer" boasts over 20 years of history in Japan.last summer, it received a minor update, and the "XLT Eco Boost" model, equipped with the "Eco Boost engine"—a 2-liter turbo engine also used in vehicles like the Range Rover "Evoque"—was released. This FWD model delivers a maximum output of 179kW (243ps) at 5,500rpm and a peak torque of 366Nm (37.3kgm) at 3,000rpm, serving as the base for this limited edition.

Special equipment includes a dual-panel panoramic sunroof that opens electrically, offering an expansive view. The interior is appointed with exclusive charcoal black leather seats, creating a sophisticated cabin atmosphere.

Available in two body colors, Tuxedo Black and White Platinum, the price is set at 4.68 million yen, a modest increase of 72,000 yen over the base model.
