The Audi "A6" first appeared in Japan in 2011. Newly joining the A6/S6 series are the entry-level "A6 2.0 TFSI" and "A6 Avant 2.0 TFSI." The powertrain utilizes the "2.0 TFSI" 2-liter inline 4-cylinder direct-injection turbocharged engine, which has previously won the International Engine of the Year award. It delivers a maximum output of 132 kW (180 ps) at 4,000-6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 320 Nm (32.6 kgm) at 1,500-3,900 rpm, driving the front wheels.

The transmission is a continuously variable "multitronic." Combined with the idling stop function, it achieves a fuel economy of 14.8 km/L under the JC08 mode. The body utilizes aluminum for over 20 percent of its construction, similar to the "A6 3.0TFSI quattro" and "A6 2.8FSI quattro," achieving weight reduction. Furthermore, a hybrid structure combining aluminum and steel enhances body rigidity.

Standard equipment includes bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights, a BOSE surround sound system, MMI (Multi Media Interface), and exclusive 17-inch alloy wheels. Optional packages such as the Audi pre sense package, which includes LED headlights and the latest safety features, are also available.

Including the 5% consumption tax, the price is 5.8 million yen for the sedan "A6 2.0 TFSI" and 6.1 million yen for the "A6 Avant 2.0 TFSI."
