An Effective Price Reduction

The "CLS Coupe," which combines a flowing side silhouette with the practicality of four doors, and theintroduced to Japan in Autumn 2012five-door model "CLS Shooting Brake"CLS Class," consisting of these two body variations, now features the new "CLS 350 Sports" grade.


Like the entry-level "CLS 350," this "CLS 350 Sports" is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine. However, it now comes standard with the AMG Styling Package, a squared-design twin chrome exhaust tip, and new 18-inch five-spoke wheels in a grey finish, enhancing its sharp and sporty appearance.


Additionally, optional features have been revised, including the "AMG Sports Package" which now incorporates the AMG sports steering wheel and black ash wood interior trim. The price has also been reduced from 600,000 yen (including 5% consumption tax) to 432,000 yen (including 8% consumption tax).

The price, including 8% consumption tax, is 9.72 million yen (9 million yen excluding tax) for the Coupe and 9.977 million yen (9.237963 million yen excluding tax) for the Shooting Brake. The current CLS 350 without the AMG Styling Package is priced at approximately 9 million yen (excluding tax) for the Coupe and 9.238096 million yen (excluding tax) for the Shooting Brake, making this an effective price reduction equivalent to the value of the package.


Deliveries are scheduled to begin after April of this year, when the consumption tax rate increases to 8%. Following this, the CLS entry-grade models are expected to be sequentially replaced by the CLS 350 Sports.
