Refinements to the Core Model
The Discovery is the cornerstone of the Land Rover brand. Since its debut in 1989, it has garnered significant global acclaim not only for its technical prowess in off-road driving, a hallmark of the Land Rover brand, but also for its superior on-road performance and sophisticated design.
The 2012 model features a new infotainment system and a high-output audio system. New alloy wheel designs have been introduced, and the "Extended Roof Rails" with a satin black finish are now available as an option.
The new model retains Land Rover's patented "Integrated Body-Frame" technology. This monocoque design achieves both exceptional driving performance regardless of road conditions and a comfortable interior space. Features such as the 5.0-liter V8 engine, long-stroke four-wheel independent suspension, Land Rover's proprietary "Terrain Response" system, short front and rear overhangs, and generous ground clearance are carried over from previous models, ensuring its status as a vehicle with outstanding off-road capability. The stadium seating for seven passengers across three rows offers high versatility, and the split tailgate, which is asymmetrical, adds to its practicality, allowing for adaptation to various scenes and purposes.
Pricing starts at 6.76 million yen for the "Discovery 4 SE" and 7.96 million yen for the "Discovery 4 HSE."
