Surpassed Lamborghini Aventador's record; 0-100km/h (0-62mph) in 2.84 seconds
The new Nissan GT-R arrives as the 2013 model, boasting outstanding performance, efficiency, and refinement. Improvements to the GT-R's engine efficiency have boosted fuel economy to 8.6km/ℓ (tested under Japan's 10-15 mode) or 8.7km/ℓ (in JC08 mode), while reducing CO2 emissions (267g/km in JC08 and 270g/km in 10-15 mode). Engine output has also been significantly improved to 404kW (550ps)/6,400rpm, with maximum torque of 632Nm (64.5kgm) from 3,200 to 5,800 rpm.
To enhance intake efficiency, air flow resistance has been reduced by adding an intake manifold fitted to the head of each unit and by using resin in the enlarged air intake duct for the intercooler.
A more compact underfloor catalyzer has reduced air flow resistance. A newly designed metallic sodium-filled valve has been adopted to improve exhaust valve cooling performance, while valve control timing, air mixture ratio, and ignition timing have also been enhanced.
Asymmetric Suspension
For the 2013 model year, the suspension has been set asymmetrically for the left and right sides.
The front suspension features a harder spring rate on the left side. For the rear suspension, the arm is installed upward on the left and downward on the right. This setup enhances responsiveness and smoothness, allowing the driver to enjoy improved cornering stability and ride comfort.
An Alternative to Spec-V
The "For TRACK PACK" is a custom option for the Pure Edition, designed for customers who desire a more Spartan driving experience in their Nissan GT-R. This pack includes suspension, air guides for brake cooling (front and rear), and Rays aluminum-alloy wheels with a black quartz chrome finish. The front spoiler with a carbon air duct, exclusively made for this edition, is also installed as a set. These components were jointly developed with NordRing company in Japan, led by President Toshio Suzuki, a development driver for the GT-R.
The 2013 model year Nissan GT-R will be released in North America, Europe, and other regions starting January 2013.
