The Beauty of Fleeting Motion Embodied
MAZDA has unveiled "Shinari," a design concept car embodying its new design theme, "Kodo - Soul of Motion."

A Design-Focused Sports Coupe
The "Kodo" theme, introduced this time, draws inspiration from the beauty, strength, and tension of movement, such as the ferocity of a cheetah pouncing on its prey or the decisive moment of a swift cut. Future MAZDA vehicles will be characterized by strong vitality and speed, directly translated into their styling.
The "Shinari," unveiled today, is a four-door, four-seater sports coupe that places emphasis on design aligned with this theme, serving as a model to indicate the future design direction for MAZDA.
Its design evokes the supple bending and stored resilience seen when steel or bamboo is flexed, and the dynamic, agile movements of humans and living creatures generating speed. The form appears poised to leap forward with power.
Furthermore, MAZDA's signature prominent fenders, originating from the RX8, express the side profile's sense of motion and sportiness, while the three-dimensionally sculpted front grille asserts its MAZDA identity.
The interior is ergonomically designed to create a cockpit where the driver can concentrate on driving. The passenger side, conversely, offers a sense of openness, creating distinct spatial experiences within the same cabin.
The "Shinari" is scheduled for its official debut at the Paris Motor Show, opening on the 30th.
