Lower, Sharper Styling

BMWhas newly established the "2 Series" as its compact two-door FR model, succeeding the "1 Series Coupe." Images were released today. Following the recently announced "5 Series" and the "6 Series", and the "3 Series", this follows BMW's recent naming convention where coupe models are assigned even numbers, creating a clear distinction.

The announced variations include the highly sporty "M235i," along with the "220i," "225d," "220d," and "218d," totaling five models. Compared to the 1 Series, the styling is lower and wider, with a sharper, more aggressive face featuring redesigned kidney grilles and headlights.

Body dimensions are 4,432mm long, 1,774mm wide, and 1,418mm high. This makes it 72mm longer, 32mm wider, and 5mm lower than the previous 1 Series Coupe. The wheelbase has also been extended by 30mm to 2,690mm.
