Testing the V12 + Electric Monster

On August 7th, just before heading to the Hungarian Grand Prix, Scuderia Ferrari F1 driver Fernando Alonso took the "LaFerrari" for a test drive, and footage of the event has been released.

The LaFerrari is Ferrari's fastest production model, featuring a V12 engine base derived from the F12berlinetta, producing a maximum output of 800ps. It incorporates the "HY-KERS" system, a feedback of F1 hybrid technology (KERS), which, combined with an electric motor, delivers a total maximum output of 936ps. The car tested this time was the latest version of the development model.




The LaFerrari, which also involved teammate Felipe Massa in its development, was driven by Alonso. Although there is no audio, the footage shows Alonso giving detailed advice to the staff after test-driving the camouflaged test vehicle.
