Enhanced Equipment for the Mercedes-Benz G 550
Mercedes-Benz Japan has revised the equipment specifications for its cross-country vehicle, the "G-Class," and commenced sales.

The "G" with Even More Enhanced Equipment
Born in 1979, theG-Class"G-Class" has evolved while maintaining its fundamental styling and robust body, continuously incorporating optimal powertrains and equipment. It is a high-end cross-country vehicle that balances luxury with high off-road capability.
The "G 550," the core model of the G-Class, now features new exterior enhancements: "AMG Overfenders" that widen the body by 25mm on each side, and "Titanium Grey Paint 18-inch 5-Twin-Spoke Alloy Wheels." These additions emphasize its sporty and aggressive character. The interior now boasts a "Leather Dashboard," with the upper section of the dashboard finished in genuine leather.
Additionally, the interior offers "designo leather" in a choice of eight colors for ¥180,000, and the exterior can be customized with nine "designo body colors" as optional equipment starting from ¥170,000, catering to a wide range of owner preferences.
The price for the G 550 with these enhanced features is set at ¥13,500,000, a modest increase of ¥100,000 from the previous model.
In addition to the G 550, the G-Class lineup also includes the "G 63 AMG" which is powered by a 5.5-liter V8 twin-turbo engine producing a maximum output of 400 kW and 760 Nm of torque, and the "G 65 AMG" equipped with a 6-liter V12 twin-turbo engine generating 612 ps and 1,000 Nm of torque. The prices for these models remain unchanged at ¥17,800,000 and ¥32,500,000, respectively.
