AudiA3 Serieshas added the "A3 1.6 TDI Ultra," a fuel-efficient model, to its lineup. The engine is a 1.6-liter, four-cylinder diesel turbo producing 81kW (110ps), achieving a remarkable fuel consumption of 3.2ℓ/100km, rivaling that of hybrid cars.

The vehicle weighs a light 1,205kg and features S line side sills for improved aerodynamics, with the ride height lowered by 15mm. Furthermore, fuel efficiency is achieved through the adoption of 16-inch tires with low rolling resistance. It accelerates from 0-100km/h in 10.5 seconds, has a top speed of 200km/h, and emits 85g/km of CO2.

Audi positions the "A3 1.6 TDI Ultra" as the first model to truly expand their lightweight technology, dubbed "Ultra," across multiple models. Indeed, "Ultra" versions with TDI and TFSI engines are slated to be announced for other lines within the next few months.

Deliveries in Germany will begin in September, with prices starting at 25,200 euros (approximately 3.25 million yen). It will be available in both 3-door hatchback and 5-door Sportback configurations.
